Artistic Pumpkin Carving for Fun and Profit

Workshop Description:

Steps for carving a pumpkin including picking out a pumpkin, preparing it for carving, scooping and carving tools and how to use them, making and applying patterns, carving, prolonging the life of the pumpkin and lighting options. Also includes tips for promoting your skills for profitable carving. For $10 per participant, speaker will provide ready-to-carve pumpkins. For audiences 18 years or older.

Maximum number of attendees: 25 for a talk with demo, 15 for hands on workshop

Workshop Length:

1.5 hours for a talk with demonstration or 3 hours for hands on carving workshop

Large tables, chairs, buckets or tubs, water, towels, lemons, carving kits

Speaker Bio:

David Holland has been an Oklahoma artist since 1984, working in mediums of pencil, pen, oil, oil pastel and stained glass. He has been carving pumpkins since childhood and now gives pumpkin carving workshops and sells his professionally carved pumpkins during the fall holidays.
