Artist Statement

Baker specializes in Oklahoma landscape photography.
Her series, Oklahoma Rivers exhibited at the Capitol's North Gallery, the Scenic Rivers Commission and the Oklahoma Aquarium.
Baker's work is on the websites of The Oklahoma Secretary of the Environment and "Save the Illinois River". Baker contributes to Oklahoma Today and other Tourism publications like the Travel Guide and the Film Commission's Location Guide. Commissions include assignments to photograph State Parks and the Cimarron River by Oklahoma Today.

Artist Bio

Kim Baker has been photographing her native state for over two decades. Baker's work documenting Oklahoma's rivers to help raise awareness of Oklahoma water issues is a life-long project. Her next project aim to help raise public support for the Glover River, Oklahoma's last free-flowing river, achieve National Wild and Scenic River designation. Baker's photographic style and pursuit of images of Oklahoma's last wild places highlight the diversity and subtle splendor of the land of Oklahoma.
