My work investigates the small parts that make up a whole by emphasizing the mark making process itself.
Becky Arman was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She completed her BFA in studio art at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2015. While at UCO, she served as president of the Student Art Association for several semesters. Her drawings emphasize the mark making process itself through the rendering of various subjects, utilizing thousands of detailed marks. Arman primarily works in chalk pastel pencils on colored paper. Her work has been shown in several local galleries, including Individual Artists of Oklahoma, The Barn, and the Fine Art Institute of Edmond. Arman currently lives and works in Edmond, Oklahoma.
