Artist Survival Kit: Legal Guide for Public Art (OKC)
Join us for a lively discussion with guest speaker Doug Sorocco, who will address issues concerning artists contracts, intellectual property, appropriation of art, and copyright law with regard to commissioning and producing public art. Mr. Sorocco practices in all areas of intellectual property law including patent, trademark, copyright, technology, and e-commerce and assists clients with intellectual property matters requiring litigation, licensing, technology counseling and complex transactions. Artists, professionals, and communities wanting to learn more about public art projects are encouraged to attend.
The presentation is presented in partnership with the Oklahoma Public Art Network, a resource and network of regional public art professionals and artists interested in pursuing public art opportunities in their community. The presentation is RSVP only and is filling up fast. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
