About Cornerstone Conversations
Inseparable from the past, present, and future, a community's story is unique—offering a place from which to build its future and meet the dreams of its people. In the coming weeks, Cornerstone Conversations led by the Oklahoma Arts Council will give Oklahomans the chance to consider their community's story and envision how the arts can be an important part of that story in the years to come.

Traveling across the state, the Oklahoma Arts Council is bringing communities together through a series of afternoon conversations. Co-facilitated by members of each community, Cornerstone Conversations are designed to empower Oklahomans to create shared visions through small group discussion, individual exercises, and written feedback. Each session will include a 30-minute networking break with light refreshments.

As the Oklahoma Arts Council begins work on a new five-year strategic plan to serve the people of our state, Cornerstone Conversations will show us how our agency can contribute to the visions Oklahomans have for leveraging the arts as they build their futures.

Previous Conversations
In fall 2024, the Oklahoma Arts Council held Cornerstone Conversations in Guthrie, Bristow, and Chickasha. Additional conversations are being planned for spring 2025.
