Art Quilts (11)

These are some of the art quilts I have made in the past five years, some with the Qu'aint artist group (painter Jason Wilson and five quilters), some for various exhibitions, competitions and commissions.
  • "Three Studies in Blue" - Improvisationally pieced cotton fabric on linen background, freemotion longarm quilted, 2018 (inspired by the work of Oklahoma artist Danny Joe Rose III).
  • "Through the Blinds" - Quilting cotton and linen, freemotion longarm quilted. In conjunction with Qu'aint artist group, 2019.
  • "Midcentury Modern Vibes" - Felt appliqué on screen prints by Oklahoma artist Rick Miller. Shown at Members Show, Artspace@Untitled 2021.
  • "Order in Chaos" - Improvisationally pieced quilting cotton on linen background. Freemotion quilted on longarming machine. Made in conjunction with Qu'aint artist group, shown in Ponca City, OK,2021
  • "Moon River"- art quilt made with hand dyed and other fabrics, rough edge hand appliquéd onto Essex linen. Juried into Fiberworks 2024, 108 Gallery in Tulsa, Oklahoma
  • "Red Lipstick, Black Lace" - quilt designed and made in conjunction with Qu'aint artist group, exhibited at The Vault Gallery in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma in 2020.
  • "Big Bang Theory" - hand dyed Shibori bed quilt, juried into Fiberworks 2024, at 108 Gallery in Tulsa, Oklahoma
  • "Reggaeton" - Bed quilt inspired by Oklahoma artist Jason Wilson's painting of the same name. Piece currently on exhibit at Qu'aint art groups "Uncovering" exhibit at Artspace@Untitled,2024.
  • "Hellas- A Trip to Greece 2023" Momigamied paper hat worn throughout the trip, with various ticket stubs and other found paper objects gradually attached. Juried into the OVAC Member Show, 2024.
  • "Vitakultúra - Who is Winning This Argument?"
  • "Pronouns" - A protest-quilt, currently exhibited at the "Uncovering" Qu'aint show at Artspace @ Untitled in OKC.
