The Finance Assistant provides support to the Administration and Finance Department, assisting with accounting, budget, finance, and other administrative tasks across all agency departments. This position also serves as a backup for the Executive Assistant. This is a part-time, temporary position that reports directly to the Finance Director. Salary is commensurate with experience with an hourly rate of $30.96 and no other benefits.

First Americans Museum offers an Internship Program to undergraduate and graduate students that correlates with Fall and Spring semesters. The unpaid internships offer professional experiences in several departments including Curatorial, Learning & Engagement, Human Resources, Development/Membership, Communications, Food & Beverage and Retail. The Internship Program provides participants with firsthand professional experiences to learn about the various roles and responsibilities within the museum. Internships are based on departmental needs and selections will be made pertaining to the skills and interests of the intern. FAM strongly encourages applicants of diverse backgrounds and experiences within a variety of academic disciplines to apply. The application period for all internships, planning for both Fall and Spring placements, is open from January 1st-March 15th.
