Drawing Turntable (5)

Created on: 21 Mar 2026
This is my Mad Scientist invention: A drawing turntable on a lazy susan. (This is actually Revision 5.0) With this machine, I can draw precision concentric circles.
  • The overhead marker stylus is adjusted back and forth by a threaded rod
  • The marker stylus is adjusted back and forth by a threaded rod. A flywheel on the right end (with a knob) can adjust the marker stylus 1/16 of an inch at a time.
  • Another tool of the turntable is a marker sled to make radial lines. The angle markings on the rim are 5 degrees apart.
  • This drawing has 5 core concentric circle pairs (about 2 inches apart). The bristol board was trimmed from a Strathmore 42 inch wide roll --> down to a 24 inch diameter surface.
  • Title: Crazy-Eye-Ris. The radial lines create a pseudo-depth effect. The center eye is from a carved stamp.
