A proud member of the Watercolor Society, his work has graced the pages of prestigious watercolor magazines. Mike's work was recently showcased at the Rhode Island Watercolor Society's" and Glow" Exhibition and the American Impressionists Society Annual Exhibition. Each summer, he also serves as a workshop assistant for the renowned Stephen Quiller in Creede, Colorado.

What You'll Learn:
Kick off the workshop with a warm-up session to create a 10-step value scale.
Explore three watercolor sketches using a simple composition in high, middle, and low keys.
Master the art of setting mood and atmosphere through tonal value adjustments.
Learn how to map three tonal values from a contour sketch.
Discover how to tie similar values together for more impactful shapes.
Dive into creating depth with adjacent and contrasting values.
Orchestrate light and dark values to achieve a dynamic composition.
Understand different lighting techniques: front, top, side, and ¾ light.
Manipulate values and explore the concept of counterchange.

As part of the workshop, Mike will provide personalized guidance as you apply these concepts to create a stunning final piece. Mike and Terra Rosa Art Gallery will supply all necessary watercolor materials, but feel free to bring your preferred medium.
