A three-day virtual career development workshop for artists

Mastering a career as a working artist requires more than creativity and inspiration. For 17 years, Artist INC has boosted the careers of thousands of artists by providing building blocks for addressing business fundamentals and entrepeneurial challenges.

In February, Oklahoma artists can participate in a free three-day fast-tracked version of the program, Artist INC Express. Open to artists of all disciplines, the virtual, yet highly active, version will explore the same core concepts for building a lasting arts practice. The virtual program offers access that is ideal for rural and other artists with limited access to in-person professional development programs.

Funded by the Oklahoma Arts Council and Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA), the Artist INC Express workshop will be led by a team of experienced, working artists who guide participants through discussions, small group work, and hands-on exercises.

During the workshops, artists will set goals for their practice, write about their work, and build a personal brand, coming away from the experience with an artist bio and statement, plus a resume or CV template. Participants will gain a community of peers that can offer support, resource sharing, and collaborative opportunities long after the program ends.

Artist INC Express features three-hour sessions that take place over three days. Artists are asked to commit to the entire nine-hour workshop, as exercises build on one another and foster deeper connections among artists.

Day 1: Friday, February 19, 2027 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. CST

Day 2: Saturday, February 20, 2027 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. CST

Day 3: Sunday, February 21, 2027 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. CST

Register by February 11 to receive hard copy workshop materials (preferred). Final deadline to register is February 18. Workshops fill quickly and are first-come, first-served.
